Privacy Policy

How this website handles the information you give us, in plain language. Last updated October 2026.

This policy applies to digitalmarketing.net.in and to the enquiry forms on it. It describes what this specific website collects, why, where it goes, and what you can ask us to do about it. It does not cover other websites we link to, or the separate agreements we hold with clients, which set out data handling for their own marketing accounts.

Who We Are

Digital Marketing India is a digital marketing agency working with small and mid-sized businesses across India. For anything in this policy, we are the party that decides why and how your data is used, and we are the ones you contact about it:

What This Site Collects

Information You Type Into a Form

The enquiry form on our contact page is the only place this website asks you for personal information. Depending on which fields you choose to fill in, a submission can include:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone or WhatsApp number
  • Your business name
  • Your website address
  • Your city or region
  • The service you are interested in
  • Your approximate monthly budget range
  • Your primary goal
  • Whatever you write in the message field

Only your name, email address, and message are required. Every other field is optional, and the form works without them — they simply help us give a more useful first reply. Shorter review-request forms elsewhere on the site ask only for name, email, phone, and website address.

Please do not send sensitive personal information, customer databases, financial details, or passwords through this form. It is an enquiry form, not a secure file transfer channel. If an engagement needs that kind of material, we will agree a proper method for it first.

Information Collected Automatically

Like any website, this one sits on a web server that keeps standard access logs — IP address, browser user agent, the page requested, and a timestamp. These are generated and retained by our hosting provider as part of running and securing the server, and are used for troubleshooting and abuse prevention, not for marketing or profiling.

Analytics

No third-party analytics is currently running on this website. The theme is built so that Google Analytics 4 can be switched on later by the site operator; until it is configured, no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set by this site. If we do enable it, we will use it in aggregate to understand which pages are useful — never to send form field values, names, email addresses, or phone numbers to Google — and this section will be updated to say so before or at the time it goes live.

Why We Use Your Information

  • To reply to your enquiry. This is the whole reason the form exists. We use what you send to understand your business and respond with something specific rather than a template.
  • To follow up on that enquiry. If a conversation is clearly still open — you asked for a proposal, or we agreed to call back — we may follow up once or twice by email, phone, or WhatsApp. Tell us to stop and we stop.
  • To keep a record of what was discussed, so that if you come back to us months later we are not starting from nothing.
  • To keep the form working and free of spam. A simple arithmetic question and a hidden field catch automated submissions. Both are checked on our own server; no third-party captcha service is involved and no tracking cookie is used for it.

We do not add enquiry details to a marketing mailing list, and we do not send newsletters or promotional campaigns to people who simply filled in the contact form.

Where Your Submission Goes

When you submit the form, two things happen. The details are sent as an email to our own enquiry inbox, and they are written to a server-side log on this website's hosting account. The log exists as a safety net: if email delivery ever fails, your enquiry is still recoverable and does not vanish silently.

That notification email is delivered through a third-party transactional email service acting on our behalf. Like any email provider, it handles the message in transit in order to deliver it. It is not permitted to use your details for its own purposes.

Access to the inbox and to the website's server is limited to the people who operate this business and need it to do their work.

We Do Not Sell or Share Your Data

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise hand over your personal information to third parties for their marketing. We do not share enquiry details with other agencies, lead brokers, or advertising networks. The only parties that touch your data are the service providers described above — our website host and our email delivery provider — and only to the extent needed to run the site and deliver our reply.

The exceptions are the ordinary ones: if we are legally required to disclose information by a court, regulator, or law enforcement authority acting within its powers, or where disclosure is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim, or to prevent fraud or abuse of our systems.

Cookies

This website does not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or social media tracking tags on its public pages. The cookies that can be set are:

  • WordPress functional cookies — set only in specific situations, such as logging in to the site's admin area or leaving a comment. An ordinary visitor reading pages and submitting the enquiry form does not get a login cookie.
  • Analytics cookies — none at present, because analytics is not currently enabled on this site. If it is switched on, an analytics cookie will be set to count visits and sessions, and this section will be updated.

Every browser lets you view, block, and delete cookies in its settings. Blocking them will not prevent you from reading this site or sending us an enquiry.

How Long We Keep It

  • Enquiries that do not become clients are kept for as long as the conversation might reasonably still be live, and then removed from our active records. If you ask us to delete yours sooner, we will.
  • Enquiries that become client engagements are kept for the duration of the engagement and afterwards for as long as we need them for tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping under Indian law.
  • Server logs are rotated and overwritten by the hosting environment on its own cycle, which is short.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. Form submissions are validated on the server, and the form is protected against cross-site request forgery. Access to the site's administration is restricted, and the software is kept updated. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise — but we do not collect more than we need, which is the most effective protection there is.

Your Rights

Indian data protection law, principally the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, gives you rights over personal data you have provided. In broad terms you can:

  • Ask what personal data of yours we hold and what we have done with it
  • Ask us to correct anything inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date
  • Ask us to erase your data where we no longer need it for the purpose you gave it to us for, or for a legal obligation
  • Withdraw consent to further contact, at any time, without having to give a reason
  • Raise a grievance with us about how your data has been handled

To exercise any of these, email info@digitalmarketing.net.in or call +91 63530 74980. Tell us what you want done and enough detail for us to find your record — usually the email address or phone number you used. We aim to acknowledge requests within a few business days and to complete them promptly. We may need to confirm your identity first, so that we are not acting on someone else's say-so about your data. There is no charge for a reasonable request.

If you are not satisfied with how we handle a request, you may raise the matter with the relevant data protection authority in India.

Children

This is a business-to-business website and it is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has submitted information through this site, contact us and we will delete it.

Links to Other Sites

Some pages link out to third-party platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, or WhatsApp. Once you follow one of those links you are on their property and their privacy policies apply, not ours. Using the WhatsApp button on this site opens a conversation inside WhatsApp, which is operated by Meta and governed by Meta's own terms and privacy policy.

Changes to This Policy

If what this site does with data changes — for example, if analytics is switched on, or a new form is added — we will update this page and change the date below it. There is no version history kept, so the page you are reading is always the current policy.

A Note on This Document

This is a general privacy policy written to describe accurately what this website does. It is not legal advice, and it is not a substitute for advice from a qualified lawyer about your own obligations or ours. If you need a formal data processing agreement for a client engagement, ask us and we will put one in place as part of the contract.
