Marketing Analytics & Reporting

The Layer That Makes Every Other Channel Accountable

GA4, Tag Manager, Search Console, call and WhatsApp tracking, set up before anything else runs — then one monthly report that ties spend to enquiries instead of impressions.

  • Set up first, before any campaign
  • Every account stays in your name
  • One report, every channel, monthly

Why This Comes First

You Cannot Improve What Nobody Is Counting

Analytics is the least glamorous line on any marketing proposal and the one that decides whether the rest of it is honest. Without it, ad platforms optimise towards clicks because clicks are all they can see, SEO is argued about on the basis of rankings rather than enquiries, and every monthly review turns into an opinion contest.

It is also the one thing that cannot be added retrospectively. A month of untracked activity is a month you will never be able to analyse. So on every engagement we install the measurement layer first — usually within the first week or two — and only then start spending.

The Setup

What Actually Gets Installed

Standard on every engagement, whether you run one channel with us or all of them.

GA4

  • Property created or cleaned up, with data retention and India time zone set correctly
  • Key events defined for form submissions, calls, WhatsApp clicks and any booking or checkout step
  • Those events marked as conversions so they appear in reports and can be imported into ad platforms
  • Internal traffic and known bot and referral spam filtered out
  • Cross-domain measurement where a booking or payment flow lives on another domain

Google Tag Manager

  • One container so tags can be added later without touching the site code again
  • Triggers for form success, clicks on phone and WhatsApp links, and scroll or engagement where useful
  • GA4, Google Ads and Meta tags fired from one place instead of scattered scripts
  • Every tag tested in preview mode before it goes live — nothing published untested
  • Documented naming, so a future developer can understand what is firing and why

Search Console

  • Verified, sitemap submitted, and linked to GA4 so organic query data sits alongside behaviour
  • Real queries and click-through rates — the honest source for organic performance
  • Indexing and coverage issues surfaced before they quietly cost you traffic
  • Core Web Vitals and mobile usability monitored month to month
  • Feeds directly into SEO priorities rather than sitting unopened

Call & WhatsApp Tracking

  • Clicks on tel: and WhatsApp links tracked as events on mobile, where most Indian enquiries start
  • A dedicated tracking number where call volume justifies it, separating marketing calls from the rest
  • Call outcomes fed back in where your team is willing to log them, so quality is visible and not just quantity
  • Honest labelling: a tracked click is an intent signal, a connected call is a conversation — we never blur the two

Ad Platform Connections

  • GA4 linked to Google Ads, with conversions imported so bidding optimises towards enquiries
  • Meta Pixel and Conversions API configured for the events that matter
  • Audiences built from real site behaviour for remarketing, rather than broad guesses
  • Duplicate conversion counting checked and removed — a common reason reported leads look too good

UTM Discipline

  • One documented naming convention for source, medium, campaign, content and term
  • Applied consistently across ads, email, social bios, WhatsApp broadcasts, QR codes and print
  • Lower case, no spaces, no near-duplicates — the small habit that keeps a year of data comparable
  • A shared link builder so your team can tag campaigns correctly without asking us
Dashboard Access

A Live View, Not Just a Monthly PDF

Alongside the report you get a Looker Studio dashboard pulling from GA4, Search Console and the ad accounts, refreshed automatically. Leads by channel, cost per lead, top landing pages and top queries, on one screen you can open on the first of the month or on a Tuesday afternoon.

Everything is built inside accounts registered in your own name, with us added as users. You can log in any time, nothing is hidden behind our login, and if the engagement ends the data and the dashboards stay exactly where they are.

Attribution

What Attribution Can Tell You — and What It Can't

We would rather explain the limits up front than defend an impossible number later.

What It Does Well

Attribution is reliable at the level decisions are actually made. It will tell you that search ads produce enquiries at a third of the cost of Meta ads, that one landing page converts twice as well as another, that a campaign stopped working in week three, and that organic traffic is up but enquiries are not. That is enough to move budget with confidence, and it is what most monthly decisions require.

Where It Goes Blurry

People see a reel on a phone, search your name on a laptop a week later, then walk in. Consent banners, privacy settings and cross-device journeys all remove data. Someone who calls after a friend recommends you may be counted as direct traffic. Offline and word-of-mouth demand that your marketing helped create rarely shows up at all, and it is usually the channel doing the quiet work that gets under-credited.

How We Handle It

We report first-touch and last-touch side by side rather than picking whichever flatters the month, show assisted conversions so awareness channels get credit for their part, keep UTM tagging consistent so comparisons hold across a year, and cross-check platform-reported conversions against GA4 and your own enquiry count. Where the three disagree, we say so.

The Simplest Cross-Check

Ask your sales team how many enquiries they handled, and compare it with what the report says. If the two numbers are close, the tracking is sound. If they are far apart, something is missing — and finding out what is a far better use of a review call than debating attribution models.

The Monthly Report

What Lands in Your Inbox, in This Order

One document for every channel we run, in the same structure each month so you can compare like with like.

1. Leads, first

Total tracked enquiries for the month — forms, calls and WhatsApp — split by channel, next to last month and the same month last year where we have it. Not impressions, not sessions. The number a business owner would ask for if they only had one question.

2. Cost per lead and spend

What each channel spent and what each enquiry cost, with paid broken out by campaign and brand search separated from non-brand. Where cost per lead moved, we say why rather than leaving you to infer it.

3. Channel detail

Organic rankings and Search Console queries, paid campaign performance, social engagement and profile-to-enquiry, content published and how it performed. Enough depth to be useful, short enough to actually read.

4. What we changed and what we learned

A plain list of the work done: negatives added, pages optimised, creative tested, tracking fixed. Alongside it, what the results suggest — including the tests that did not work, because those decide next month too.

5. Next month's plan

Specific and prioritised, with anything we need from you clearly flagged — photos, approvals, a decision on budget, a fix from your developer.

6. The review call

A short call, usually thirty to forty-five minutes in the first half of the month, to walk through the report, answer questions and agree priorities. It is where most useful changes are actually decided, and it is included — not billed as consulting.

FAQ

Questions About Analytics & Reporting

We already have Google Analytics installed. Is that enough?

Usually not. Most accounts we audit have GA4 collecting pageviews and nothing else: no form submission event, no call or WhatsApp tracking, no conversions marked, and nothing linked to the ad accounts. Traffic data alone cannot tell you which channel produced an enquiry, which is the only question worth asking.

Why do you insist on setting up tracking before running campaigns?

Because without it every other decision is guesswork, and because the ad platforms bid better when real conversions are fed back to them. Data also cannot be backfilled — a month of untracked spend is a month you can never analyse. Setting it up first costs a few days and saves the whole engagement from arguing about what worked.

Can you track phone calls and WhatsApp enquiries?

Yes, and in India this matters more than form tracking. Clicks on a phone number or WhatsApp link are tracked as events, and where call volume justifies it we set up a dedicated tracking number so calls from marketing can be separated from everything else. We are always clear about the difference between a tracked click and a confirmed conversation.

Will the report tell me exactly which channel produced each sale?

Not exactly, and anyone promising that is overselling. Someone may find you through a reel, search your name a week later and then phone you — most models credit only the last step. We report first and last touch alongside assisted conversions, use consistent UTM tagging, and say plainly where the picture is uncertain rather than inventing precision.

Do we get access to the dashboards, or only a PDF?

You get both, and you own all of it. GA4, Search Console, Tag Manager, the ad accounts and the live dashboard are set up under your own accounts with us added as users, so you can log in whenever you like and everything stays with you if the engagement ends.
